Hello Chaps and Chapette, Long time, no...anything. But here I am again, with another update. I've not long, got back from Birmingham. And the weekend event held there, called the UK Gaming Expo. Now this is the first time that I have been at a major event like this and worked. Monolith Editions had kindly asked me to demo their up and coming game Batman the BoardGame, which was a pleasure to teach. In fact I had such a wonderful time, I would do it again in a heart beat.
Here are some of the video that were taken at the show...
I'd also like to give a big thank you to my co-workers Flavian Loisier and Mike Rudmann
It's only been a few days since he was born, but he has already made a big impression on me and the rest of the family. And after many discussions of a name for him over the previous 3-4 months, it was the joke name for the bump in my wife's belly, that stuck...Robin. (Which, strangely ties in with Batman...Bizarre!) So, where does this take us? Well, almost back to normality. Prototypes are arriving at my door as are Kickstarters that I backed last year, and gaming is starting multiply. So expect some reviews, previews and of course, the Double-Back monthly returning soon. Until then, Ciao for now

Hello Chaps and Chapettes, Here is an update on all things BGES. (me) Life Update: Lots of carnage and chaos going on here. But all will be fine, in the end. In a few days time, I will be flying out to the UK Gaming Expo in Birmingham, to work... I have been hired by Monolith Editions (a French game publisher) to run demos of their next Kickstarter, Batman the Boardgame. In fact, the designer, Frederic Henry popped over for a coffee the other day and went through all the rules, ready for the Expo. Check out my facebook video of us playing : https://www.facebook.com/729474603736235/videos/1861638373853180/ I will take my camera and document as much as I can, from the event. And give you a overview in my next Double-Back Monthly...which will be late, due to being away. Sorry. Player 4 should be arriving soon too, although his has no bedroom...ahhh! Well, we have a bedroom, but no windows. Hopefully, they come before he does. And he comes before I go. Gaming Update: I have not played much. I have demoed “Clash of Rage” a few time around the area and played “Outlive” solo. It works, but I'd rather play with other players with this game. Also got to try out “Spoils of War” from Arcane Wonders. A bluffing game, where players are bidding on the number of dice with the same value. And the highest bidder gets to take more treasure than the other players who guessed correctly to. Special powers from artifacts will help screw the other players over and collecting sets of items will gain you extra points. An enjoyable, party style game. Looking forward to the next time I get to play. Video reviews will be returning sometime next month. When normality returns...
