Isn't it strange when, one day you are doing a trivial or major thing, then the next day you're playing a game about the thing you did...! Well, with the arrival of Player 4, we have had to modify our house and make it bigger on the outside. And then work began on making the inside prettier. Much like this game, "Dream Home." Although it is a lot more simpler to do in game than reality;
Have you ever played a game that mimicked something from your life?Not only has gaming mimicked like one, but twice. After moving to France, I fell into a job that I knew nothing about and did not interest me. Working in a Vineyard... ...But I feel in love with it and quickly picked up the skills required (also some very naughty French word tee-hee!) And I was luck enough to find a game that came close to that job that I loved. And I say "loved" because I had to quit working due to the stress and strain that my body endured, and I'm not just talking about the rewards of the final product. But I can continue to dream of my dream job (Dream Home...see the link) in this game.

Hey Chaps and Chapettes, I am back on the horse and ready to start reviewing again. Most of the hard work, at home is finished but I now have free time to slip out and play games. Also time to record videos. I made a start with this one. The “late and tired” Double-Back Monthly. In it, I talk a bit about the UK Gaming Expo and give you some first impressions of Dark Souls, Outlive and Spoils Of War to tide you over until the next video comes along... Which should be soon. =) Ciao for now Hello Chaps and Chapette, Long time, no...anything. But here I am again, with another update. I've not long, got back from Birmingham. And the weekend event held there, called the UK Gaming Expo. Now this is the first time that I have been at a major event like this and worked. Monolith Editions had kindly asked me to demo their up and coming game Batman the BoardGame, which was a pleasure to teach. In fact I had such a wonderful time, I would do it again in a heart beat.
Here are some of the video that were taken at the show...
I'd also like to give a big thank you to my co-workers Flavian Loisier and Mike Rudmann
It's only been a few days since he was born, but he has already made a big impression on me and the rest of the family. And after many discussions of a name for him over the previous 3-4 months, it was the joke name for the bump in my wife's belly, that stuck...Robin. (Which, strangely ties in with Batman...Bizarre!) So, where does this take us? Well, almost back to normality. Prototypes are arriving at my door as are Kickstarters that I backed last year, and gaming is starting multiply. So expect some reviews, previews and of course, the Double-Back monthly returning soon. Until then, Ciao for now |
