Me and my music
Creating noise is one of my "Favorite Things." Making it sound eerie and tense has been a challenge, but not impossible. So much easier that writing words and making pop songs. (oh Baby? baby) What am I blathering about...
Well, this is one of those things that I do...music. I love having sound around me and especially when plating games. After playing "Last Nigh On Earth," a board game from Flying Frog Productions, that includes a CD soundtrack, I thought, "what a great idea."
The soundtrack included was a fair representation of horror music from the 60's, but I wanted to hear that style in the 80's. From great films like The Evil Dead and The Thing. So I created my own, and here it is, on the left.

It's a soundtracks to use while primary for zombie style games, but can be used for any type of horror game. You download it or stream it, BUT ON RANDOM. Yes, each track, starts and finishes the same, but the middles are different. Therefore, when you listen to it on RANDOM, you never know whats coming around the corner...It may be eerie music...It may be a jump scare...Or it may be a hoard of monsters!
The 7th continent

I have had the wonderful opportunity to create a soundtrack for a Kickstarter game, called The 7th Continent.
A kind of "chose your own adventure" style game, played out on cards.
This came into being after I interviewed Bruno Sauter about the progress of the game, back at Essen Spiel 2016. I was ask if I could compose ten unique tracks, with ambient sounds as well as musical scores. These are to fit with the ten areas of the game, and would play in the background, while you explore this grandiose world.
To which, I said "yes."
The game is set to be delivered to Kickstarter backers, around June 2017. The soundtrack will be finished before then. But you can get a sneak peak at one of the tracks from an update, posted by Serious Poulpe, here

the "catan" songHere is a funky, Red Hot style song, that I composed about that game that everyone loves to hate, but just can't, because of it's greatness.
